Many have been experiencing difficulties as changing their screen brightness after the Windows 10 upgrade, it’s bugged and annoying. It appears to be a compatibility issue with your display adapter. We have figured out how to possibly fix this issue following a few simple steps.

1. Try updating your display adapter driver in Device Manager.

a) Press Win + R  together to  open the “Run” dialog, enter devmgmt.msc.

b) Expand the Display adapters and right click on your graphics card, select Update Driver Software…

c) Select the first option to search automatically for update.

2. If updating driver doesn’t work , then try Roll Back a Device Driver to a Previous Version.

a) Right click on your graphics card (Nvidia/AMD/Intel) , select Properties this time.

b) Go to the Driver tab, click on Roll Back Driver…, then proceed with warning and finish the process.

3. If neither of them helps, then make sure you enable your PNP monitor.

Find the Generic PNP Monitor in Device Manager, right click on it and check if it’s disabled.
