Solved Lenovo Camera Not Working in Windows 10/8

By Eric Xu in Common Errors
Many of Lenovo PC users have been reporting that their cameras are not working properly since upgrading to Windows 8 or 10. We recommend that checking up on your driver, which may probably be the cause.

1. Check if the driver is corrupted or broken from Device Manager.

a) Press Win + R  together to  open the “Run” dialog, enter devmgmt.msc.

b) Find the camera driver from the list, see if there’s any red or yellow error sign on it, also make sure you have enabled it.

If it seems to be fine, then try to update the driver and check if that helps solve the problem.

c) You could update the driver by choosing Update Driver Software…

d) Select Search automatically for updated driver software,

*You can also download  the update file from Lenovo’s official support website here, search for your product and install as instructed.

2. If you choose to manually install driver software.

a) When asked “how do you want to search for driver software”, choose Browse my computer for driver software this time,

b) Click Browse to locate the update file, then click Next to continue.

c) Following instructions and finish the process.

Note that sometimes the process could be not user friendly and time consuming, we recommend using professional driver managing tool like DriverEasy to help you effectively.
