1. Maximize & Customize Your Window
Now you can resize the Driver Easy window freely—maximize it for better visibility or adjust it to fit your workflow.
2. Skip Permission Reminder
Tired of repeated admin prompts? Just enable Skip Permission Reminder in Settings to automatically grant Driver Easy administrator privileges at startup—no more repeated confirmations.
Alternatively, you can turn on this setting the first time you’re prompted by simply checking the box “Don’t remind me again (Run as admin at startup).”.
3. Scan for Game Dependencies
Gamers, rejoice! Driver Easy can now detect missing game runtime libraries—like DirectX, Visual C++ Redistributables, and more—and help you install them for smooth, optimized gameplay.
4. Smarter Driver Search & Filtering
Quickly find what you need by searching drivers by name or filtering by device type (e.g., Audio, Display, Network). No more scrolling through unrelated drivers. Just click Filter on the Update screen to get started.
5. Hide All Future Updates for Specific Devices
Don’t want to update a particular device anymore? Now you can go beyond hiding just the latest update—you can hide all future updates for that device by simply checking the box “Hide all future updates of this device.” when hiding a driver update.
6. Enhanced Driver Backup & Restore
We’ve optimized the driver backup process—it now skips unnecessary drivers, such as those for unplugged devices or built-in Windows components that typically don’t need backup. This helps you save space and keep things tidy.
To show hidden devices, go to Tools > Driver Backup, then click Show Hidden Devices.
We’ve also introduced backup file management to Driver Restore (for backups created in version 7.0 and above). To delete backup files, go to the Driver Restore section, click Manage, select the backups you want to remove, and then click Delete or Delete All.
7. Improved Driver Uninstallation
We’ve improved the driver uninstallation feature. Now, you can uninstall drivers for unplugged devices in one go—perfect for cleaning up old hardware traces. Simply check the option “Uninstall all unplugged device drivers” when uninstalling a driver.
8. Faster & Smoother Software Updates
We’ve streamlined the version upgrade process, ensuring you get the latest improvements with minimal hassle.
9. Redesigned Hardware Information Layout
We’ve revamped the Hardware Information layout for a cleaner, more streamlined view—SPD (Serial Presence Detect) data is now integrated directly into the Memory section.
