You would know how important a mouse to your computer through the daily computer using. If you want to do a mouse single-click, but it keeps double clicking instead, it must bother you so much. However, it’s not a hard problem can’t be solved. Go with the methods below. We will be showing you how to fix your mouse keeps double clicking issue step by step.

Method 1. Adjust double-click speed of your mouse

If the double-click speed of your mouse is set either too low or too high, it would cause the mouse not function properly. 

To adjust double-click speed of your mouse, following these:

1)
Type control in the search box from Start menu.
Then click Control Panel from the top.

Choose to view by Large icons.
Then find and click Mouse.

3)
On Buttons tab, move the slider of Speed to a proper place.
Click Apply > OK.

Check if single-click could work properly. If not, adjust the double-click speed to a different place. If the error persists, try next method.

Method 2. Reinstall your mouse driver 

Mouse keeps right clicking problem also could be due to your outdated or corrupted mouse driver. If adjusting double-click speed didn’t help you fix the error, please follow the guide here to reinstall your mouse driver to solve it.

Part 1. Uninstall your mouse driver through Device Manager

On your keyboard, press Windows key + R key together to open a Run box.
Then enter devmgmt.msc in the box and click OK.

On the open window, find and expand Mice and other pointing devices catalog.
Then right-click on your mouse driver to select Uninstall device.

3)
Click Uninstall to confirm to uninstall your mouse.
