2 ways to install Bluetooth drivers
Option 1: Install manually – If you’re a tech-savvy user, you can try to do this manually. You’ll need to search, download and install drivers step by step.
OR
Option 2: Install automatically (Recommended) – Download and update all your drivers automatically. All you need is a few clicks.
Option 1: Install the Bluetooth drivers manually
If you’re familiar with PC hardware, you can try to install the latest Bluetooth drivers manually.
Windows 10 & 11
In most cases, when you plug your dongle into a Windows PC with Internet access, Windows 10/11 will search and install the drivers for your Bluetooth dongle automatically.
But Windows normally won’t give you the latest drivers. Sometimes, Windows can’t even recognize your Bluetooth dongle. In those cases, you’ll need to go to the manufacturer’s website and search for your model. Usually you can find the drivers at the support/download page. (Or use Driver Easy to scan for missing drivers.)
Windows 7 or 8
To install/update drivers manually on Windows 7 or 8, you need to visit the manufacturer’s official website to download the installer. It’ll usually be a zipped file that contains the following:
You need to unzip the installer and click Setup.exe to install the drivers.
Option 2: Install the Bluetooth drivers automatically (Recommended)
If you don’t have the time, patience or computer skills to update your Bluetooth drivers manually, you can, instead, do it automatically with Driver Easy.
