When your Wi-Fi stops working, it can be one of the most frustrating moments in your life. Worse still, after finding out so many solutions online, you may get rather puzzled about which one to take first. Admittedly, there’re quite a few ways to look into the Wi-Fi issue, but in many cases it comes down to driver stability and compatibility.

Here we offer you 3 fixes to check and resolve the driver problems of Qualcomm Atheros QCA61x4A Wireless Network Adapter. You don’t have to try them all; just work your way down the list until you find the one that works for you.

Fix 2 – Roll back your Qualcomm adapter driver

Fix 3 – Update your Qualcomm adapter driver to the latest version

Fix 1: Disable & enable your Qualcomm adapter

If your PC suddenly loses its network connection, or your wireless adapter fails to detect any available wireless network, you can try this quick-fix in the first place. Actually it’s not related to your driver, but it proves to be useful in many conditions.

1) Press the Windows Logo Key and R at the same time to invoke the Run box. Then type devmgmt.msc into the box and click OK.

2) Here pops up the Device Manager window. Double-click on the Network adapters category to expand the list.

3) Select Qualcomm Atheros QCA61x4A Wireless Network Adaper and then right-click on it to open the context menu. Click Disable device.

4) Click Yes to confirm.

5) After disabling the device, go back to Device Manager and right-click Qualcomm Atheros QCA61x4A Wireless Network Adaper to open the context menu again. Then Click Enable device.

Now your Qualcomm wireless network adapter is available for use again. Open your web browser to see whether the Internet is connected properly. If your problem hasn’t been solved, please read on and try the next fix.

Fix 2: Roll back your Qualcomm adapter driver

If you lose your network connection right after installing a new driver for the Qualcomm adapter or running a Windows update, you may roll back your driver to a previous version and see if this method could help.

1) Press the Windows Logo Key and R at the same time to invoke the Run box. Then type devmgmt.msc into the box and click OK.

2) Here pops up the Device Manager window. Double-click Network adapters to expand the drop-down menu.

If the Roll Back Driver option appears dimmed, that means there’s no driver to roll back to. In this case you can go to Fix 3 for help.

5) Choose one of the reasons according to your taste and click Yes.

6) Remember to restart your computer for the changes to take effect even if you’re not asked to.

Please Open your web browser to see whether the Internet is now connected properly. If your problem still persists, read on and try the next fix.
