How to prevent your computer from freezing

I believe nobody would like your computer freeze regularly. So, in order to stop your computer from freezing, you should maintain it properly. Follow the below suggestions to keep your computer safe and working smoothly.

1. Perform an antivirus scan regularly

The computer freezing problem can be caused by viruses. So you need to keep your antivirus software updated and let it do a clean scan regularly.

2. Run Windows Update

Microsoft keeps releasing software updates and fixes common errors and bugs. So it’s important to keep your operating system and software up to date. This can prevent your computer from unexpectedly frozen.

  1. Press Windows logo key + I and click Update & Security.
  2. Click Check for updates.

3. Update your drivers regularly

Like Microsoft, manufacturers also keep releasing new drivers. Outdated or missing driver may cause problems. To make your computer running properly, it’s also important to keep your drivers up to date.

There are two ways to update drivers.

Option 1 — Manually – You’ll need some computer skills and patience to update your drivers this way, because you need to find exactly the right driver online, download it and install it step by step.

OR

Option 2 — Automatically (Recommended) – This is the quickest and easiest option. It’s all done with just a couple of mouse clicks – easy even if you’re a computer newbie.
