- Verify the game files

Fix 1: Verify the game files
Corrupted or missing game files may lead to game crashing issues. In this case, you need to verify and repair the game files. Don’t worry. It’s quite easy! Here’s how to do it:
- Launch Steam, navigate to the LIBRARY tab and right-click on Hell Let Loose. Then select Properties.
- Click LOCAL FILES on the left, then click Verify integrity of game files…. If Steam finds anything wrong with the game files, it will re-download them from official server. It may take some time to complete the verifying process.
Launch the game after the verifying process completed and see if HLL crashes again. If this issue persists, try the next fix, below.
Fix 2: Update your graphics driver

Fix 3: Install the latest game patch

Although Overlays are handy, sometimes they may interfere with the game. According to some PC players, it seems that the Steam Overlay doesn’t pair well with HLL. Try disabling Steam Overlay for HLL and see if the game crashes again. Here is how to do it:
- Launch Steam and navigate to the LIBRARY tab. right-click on Hell Let Loose. Then select Properties.
- Uncheck Enable Steam Overlay while in-game.
If you’re using other apps with overlay features like Discord, Nvidia GeForce Experience, Twitch, etc., ensure that you’ve disabled the in-game overlay in those apps feature before you restart the game.

Fix 5: Stop overclocking
In order to get a better FPS, many players may try overclocking the CPU or turbo boost the graphics card. However, overclocking often crashes the game.
To reduce the frequency of game crashing issues, you may need to reset the CPU or the graphics card to the manufacturer specifications.
See if HLL crashes after you stopped overclocking. If this fix failed to resolve this issue, try the next fix, below.
Fix 6: Perform a clean boot
Another possible cause of the HLL crashing issue is program conflicts. If there is a certain program conflicting with HLL, it will lead to the crashing issues. In this case, you need to perform a clean boot to find out the problematic program that crashes the game. Here's how to do it:
- On your keyboard, press the Windows logo key and R at the same time to open the Run Dialog. Type msconfig and press Enter to open the System Configuration window.
- Navigate to the Services tab, check Hide all Microsoft services and then click Disable all.
- Select the Startup tab and click Open Task Manager.
- On the Startup tab in Task Manager, for each startup item, select the item and then click Disable.
- Go back to the System Configuration window and click OK.
- Click Restart to restart your PC.
Restart Windows OS and launch tha game to check if HLL crashes again. If HLL doesn't crash, you need to open the System Configuration window again to enable services and applications one by one until you find the problematic software that crashes HLL.
Once you find out the problematic software that crashes HLL, you need to uninstall it to avoid game crashing issues in the future.
If the game still crashes after you disabled all the 3rd party apps and services, try reinstalling Hell Let Loose.
Normally, after reinstalling the game, you’ll be able to fix the crashing issue.
